One Wirral's Commitment to Net Zero

One Wirral is committed to supporting the NHS ambition to achieve Net Zero and to the principles of the NHS Greener NHS programme. We recognise that delivering Net Zero is not separate from improving health and reducing health inequalities. The actions that help tackle climate change can also support healthier communities, reduce inequalities and improve wellbeing.

Our environmental policy is embedded across the organisation and introduced to all staff from day one. Staff working within this contract will understand the importance of our environmental commitments and will be expected to adhere to, and where possible exceed, our targets. We will also work in line with the direction of travel set out in the NHS Net Zero Supplier Roadmap, considering carbon reduction and sustainability throughout the delivery of our services and our supply chain.
